Her professional portfolio stretches across a wide variety of subject matter, formats and styles. Every shoot is approached with a deep understanding of what the client is trying to achieve. And the delivery is executed to Denise’s uncompromising standard. There is a passion behind her work and when you add in her expert technical knowledge and creative inspiration, you have a photographer that you can trust with your most important photographic brief.

Denise’s successful career to date has seen her work across the industry in the genres of weddings, portraiture, and commercial photography, and as a studio photographer for well known e-commerce companies, and the Culture and Heritage sector.

Experienced Photography Educator

Denise is equally passionate about being behind the lens as well as teaching and sharing her love of photography. She has a wealth of experience as a leading Photography Tutor for Auckland Zoo, and Head Tutor for Yoobee Colleges teaching their NZQA accredited NZ Photography Diploma, and short courses.

Forging a connection

Whether it’s photographing a group of corporate colleagues, a war veteran or ancient artefacts, for Denise it’s about building empathy with the subject, to forge a deeper connection and bring out the story that is waiting to be told. Her enthusiasm is infectious and she has the uncanny ability to put even the most apprehensive people at ease.

A passion for fashion

Away from the camera, Denise is a board member of the New Zealand Fashion Museum, where she gets to indulge in her love of fashion, and being part of preserving New Zealand’s social and cultural identity in the fashion arena.
